Wisenet X series, defining the new standard of excellence

Wisenet X series

Defining the new standard of excellence

Extreme performance with the latest chipset

Hanwha Techwin, a leader in global security, launches the Wisenet X series with an embedded, self-developed chipset. The Wisenet 5 chipset used in the Wisenet X series, is the most important component to date developed by Hanwha Techwin’s core technologies.

“Wisenet 5 is our latest chipset with extremely high performance. It’s at the core of Hanwha Techwin’s competitiveness,” said Lee Man-Seob, President & CEO of the Hanwha Techwin Security Business Group. “Wisenet X series is our first product range to use this single chip solution. Our new 5 megapixel and 2 megapixel camera lineups will redefine industry standards, not only with exceptionally sharp images, but also with much faster image processing and upgraded functions.”

Wisenet X series offers 150dB WDR, image stabilization using gyro sensors and razor sharp images 24 hours a day with improved low-light performance. Using WiseStream Ⅱ, Hanwha Techwin’s unique compression technology, the Wisenet X series delivers the most bandwidth friendly camera range. There are many other notable/key benefits, including a variety of on-board analytics.

With the release of the Wisenet X series, Hanwha Techwin meet the market demands in all areas of video surveillance. By adding the Wisenet X series to the recently released Wisenet Q and P series, Hanwha Techwin has now established a full line-up, from an affordable entry level, to competitive high-performance products that will satisfy the needs of projects and customers in all vertical sectors.

Hanwha Techwin is drawing a lot of attention with the new Wisenet X series, and plans to invest considerably in the areas of product development and marketing.

150dB WDR offers sharp images without any blurring

An existing WDR image is captured by composing 2 frames with different exposures, but the Wisenet X series with 150dB WDR uses 4 frames to create a more natural image.

New technology has been developed to remove blurring, a critical weakness of existing WDR, and provides clear and vivid images.

More accurate stabilization using gyro sensors

Gyro sensors have been added to the technology used in existing cameras for more accurate stabilization. Stabilization comes into effect when a camera is disturbed by wind or vibrations, resulting in more stable images.

Monitor color images, even in low-light environments

With the new chipset used in the Wisenet X series and Hanwha Techwin’s outstanding lens technology, images can be monitored in color even in low-light environments without IR LED.

Vivid images can now be captured regardless of the environment or the time of day.

Reduce data by up to 99% using WiseStream Ⅱ

The Wisenet X cameras feature H.265 compression and WiseStream Ⅱ, a complementary compression technology which dynamically controls encoding, balancing quality and compression according to movement in the image. Bandwidth efficiency is improved by up to 99% compared to current H.264 technology when WiseStream Ⅱ is combined with H.265 compression. This ensures that Hanwha Techwin’s new Wisenet X series is one of the most bandwidth friendly camera ranges available.

More diverse analytics

The Wisenet X series offers many useful analytics. The audio analysis function recognizes critical sounds, such as gunshots, explosions, screams, and broken glass, and then immediately raises an alarm.

Among other analytics, queue management is also an important feature. It can analyze queues generated in a shop or bank for more efficient management.

Dual SD slots and USB installation for added convenience

Using the USB port, the Wisenet X series can connect cameras and mobile devices through a Wi-Fi. View angles can be checked immediately while installing using a smartphone.

Dual SD slots allow up to 512 GB to be saved automatically to the camera, safely keeping data in the event of an unstable network.
