Mercure is a global hotel chain, owned by the Accor Group, with sites across France and Europe.

Hanwha Vision and leading installer TDO, based in western France, have joined forces to accelerate the security of sites owned by the group. Two hotels in the chain, based in La Roche-sur-Yon, needed to modernise their security with high-quality video surveillance systems.

Hanwha Vision cameras, selected for their reliability and outstanding performance, were chosen to support Mercure. Anti-vandal mini-dome cameras were strategically positioned inside the hotel estate, in passage areas, meeting rooms, and dining areas, as well as outside, for example, in front of the main entrance and for delivery access, ensuring continuous monitoring of the premises.

These solutions stand out for their discretion and robustness, which was a requirement for the hotel to offer the best possible experience to its guests. Additionally, video recordings are secured via XRN recorders, which are seamlessly integrated into the hotel’s internal network, allowing remote access through the Wisenet mobile application for total flexibility.

Thanks to this solution, staff can remotely monitor the hotel day and night to ensure the security of the site and the safety of guests at all times. Detection events are also recorded, allowing for the identification of delivery personnel or movements outside, providing a complete overview. According to Ms. Sénéchal, the hotel manager, “The cameras are not solely dedicated to security but also allow for real-time monitoring of what is happening in the hotel.”

The Square Lodge, a four-star hotel also owned by the Accor Group, has adopted a similar solution. This system ensures the safety of the premises while offering peace of mind to visitors and staff.

The collaboration between Hanwha Vision and TDO highlights the growing importance of intelligent video surveillance in the hospitality sector. Modern systems are no longer limited to simply protecting the premises but also incorporate smart features, offering a comprehensive solution tailored to the needs of today’s businesses.
